We’re proud to be supporting the Earthworm Foundation in implementing a best-in-class measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) system for carbon accounting across the landscapes in which it works. Underpinned by FLINTpro in conjunction with Starling remote sensing data, this system goes provides an end-to-end system for land sector carbon accounting. The system tracks land use and land use change across many different classes ─ not just tree cover loss ─ and quantifies the associated changes in carbon stock in a temporally and spatially explicit manner. In doing so, the system tracks key performance indicators across the landscape where Earthworm is undertaking direct action to improve sustainability within supply chains and livelihoods for communities.
